Expanded Summary

Interest in employee job satisfaction in organizations has increased significantly in recent years, as job satisfaction is closely related to employee activities that determine the effectiveness of the organization. Employee satisfaction is one of the most important factors in the development and effectiveness of an organization. Employee satisfaction reflects how healthy the work environment is, and a high level of satisfaction increases their motivation, productivity and responsibility for the work to be done. That is why employee satisfaction is considered one of the foundations of the effective functioning of an organization.

The aim of the research is to study the determinants of employee satisfaction. Employees who positively evaluate the work environment and the attitude of the organization are more motivated and proactive, which has a positive impact on the financial and non-financial results of the organization. Increased employee satisfaction reduces staff turnover and improves service quality, which determines the long-term success of the organization.

The relationship between employee satisfaction and organizational performance is complex, but it is an integral part of business sustainability. Teams with high levels of satisfaction demonstrate better collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving skills, which positively affects organizational climate. Employee satisfaction is also linked to organizational culture, which is the foundation of employee experience and interactions within the organization. A strong, positive culture fosters inclusiveness, teamwork, and mutual respect, which leads to high levels of satisfaction. When employees feel that the organization’s values align with their own, they are more committed and engaged in the organization’s success. Therefore, developing and maintaining a positive organizational culture is integral to promoting satisfaction. Despite the significant benefits of employee satisfaction, achieving and maintaining it is challenging. Organizations often struggle to balance cost-effective measures with satisfaction-enhancing programs. In addition, employee expectations are constantly evolving, driven by changes in societal values, economic conditions, and generational perspectives.
