obtained a Master’s degree in Biology from the Faculty of Biology and Medicine at TSU, as well as a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics from the Agrarian University of Georgia. She then went on to complete a doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on the European Union Investment Policy in Georgia from the Technical University. Currently, she holds the position of affiliated associate professor at the Department of Engineering Economics within the Faculty of Engineering Economics, Media Technologies, and Social Sciences at STU. She teaches a variety of undergraduate courses including European Union Economic Policy, Innovation Economy, Investments, Economic History (in Russian), Viticulture and Winery Economics (STU Faculty of Agricultural Science and Biosystems Engineering), Hospitality Management (Faculty of Agricultural Science and Biosystems Engineering of STU), and Economics and Policy of Viniculture systems (Faculty of Agrarian Science and Biosystems Engineering of STU). She also teaches Master’s degree courses in the European Union in Global Economy and Media economics. Furthermore, she is a guest professor at Sukhumi State University teaching international economic relations. In July 2022, she completed a two-month Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) food safety course through the Continuing Education Center at Tbilisi State University, and she is currently a student of the Public College of Decorative Horticulture of the Patriarchate of Georgia. Since 2016, Maya Benia has served as a representative in Georgia for the American wellness company JEUNESSEGLOBAL, which promotes healthy lifestyles and e-commerce, disease prevention, and health prevention. She has also given lectures at various universities in Georgia, including Davit Aghmashenebeli State University of Georgia, UNIJEO, St. Grigol Peradze University, and the National University of Georgia - SEU. In addition, she has served as the head of undergraduate and graduate programs in business administration at the Davit Aghmashenebeli Educational University of Tbilisi and has been a member of the academic council.
